Presentation of BFT FL130B photocells This range of photocells has been entirely designed and innovated by the famous home automation company BFT, with the aim of ensuring optimal security for its users. Photocells are infrared devices that will detect obstacles in the closing path of your gates, garage doors, or other electric doors. This system will prevent impacts against your gate. These photocells are sold in pairs and always need to be used twice to function properly. BFT FL130B photocells consist of a TX transmitter photocell and an RX receiver with double relay. You can install several pairs of photocells if you have several automation systems in your home. To do this, it will be necessary to cross the RX and TX photocells of the different pairs with each other. There are two types of FL130 photocells: BFT FL130 and BFT FL130B photocells. Thanks to the infrared technology that accompanies these photocells, your motorization systems will be protected in all circumstances. Their operation is as follows: the transmitter cell will send an infrared light beam to the receiver constantly. When this beam is no longer received by the receiving cell, it is a sign that an obstacle is located across the closure of your gate. The receiving cell will then send a signal to your motorization which will stop the system and block the closing of the gate until you remove the obstructing obstacle. Photocells are therefore an additional guarantee of safety. These are imperative for your motorization systems, in order to protect all your automatic opening systems from malfunctions due to shocks. They can also protect you, your objects or your animals if you find yourself on the way to your gate closing. Design Photocells can be rectangular or oval. In the case of BFT FL130B photocells, the designers of the BFT brand have given the BFT FL130B photocells a rectangular shape, in order to prioritize user comfort. These photocells are renowned for their robustness. These are very space-saving photocells that will hardly be noticed: they have ideal dimensions of 113 x 32mm. Technical characteristics They are compatible with a 12 or 24V power supply. They operate at long range: their maximum range is 30m. This may be reduced if it rains, snows, or is foggy. To ensure proper alignment of your cells, check the receiving cell: the LED of this cell lights up to indicate the correct alignment of your cells. They will operate at temperatures between -15°C and 70°C with an IP54 protection rating, which will protect the casing of your photocells from water drops and dust. Photocells are outdoor devices. Do not try to install your photocells indoors. If possible, find the most sheltered place possible to install your photocells, because in the event of snow or fog, the range may be reduced. Installation of your photocells For optimal installation of your cells, you will need to align them opposite each other (they must be parallel to each other), at a height between 40 and 60cm from the ground. You will need to attach them to the flattest surfaces possible.
