Guaranteed protection Designed by CARDIN engineers, CARDIN CDR861 photocells, placed in a waterproof shockproof plastic box, are designed to endure several climatic conditions and to come into contact with various objects or living beings. To combat these, CARDIN CDR861 photocells have undergone several batteries of tests in order to be as resistant as possible. Thus, they are classified with a degree of protection IP54. This means that they are protected against dust and liquid splashes in all directions. An installation that sticks to the surface CARDIN CDR861 photocells are installed in a box, in order to fix them to the wall. Their special rubber base even allows grip on different surfaces, even irregular ones. Then, plan the route of the cables on the structure so that they reach the fixing points. Then, using the drilling template found inside the packaging, trace the fixing points. Next, release the circuit from the base. Fix the base on the wall, pass the connection cables through the hole provided for this purpose. Replace the circuit on the base and make the connections (fig. 3). Finally, once the installation is complete, check that it is effective. Conversely, if the structure is irregular, it is better to check the electrical operation before permanently fixing the devices. First connect and secure the projector, then connect the receiver and then proceed as follows. Control and adjustment of CARDIN CDR861 photocells: Note: When the projector and receiver are turned on, the projector indicator light remains on permanently; the receiver indicator goes out when the photocell is centered (system activated) and comes on when the photocell is not centered. First, introduce the points of an ordinary tester (maximum of the 2 Vdc scale) into the special test areas (test points) respecting the exact polarity as indicated on the marks on the printed circuit. Then, take the reading on the tester considering as optimal a deviation of the signal equal to 0.4 V. In the case where a greater deviation is measured, attenuate the signal by acting on the relative trimmer of the receiver until that the signal deviation is reported to the optimal value.
