Configuring the FAAC TM433DS-2 Remote Control

As mentioned earlier, the configuration or programming of the FAAC TM433DS-2 is accessible to everyone. There are two methods to perform this configuration: via a pre-programmed remote control or via the receiver.

Program the New FAAC Remote via a Pre-Programmed Remote

If you already have a remote control correctly connected to the receiver you want to link the new FAAC remote to, simply:

• Open the case of the pre-programmed remote control.
• Carefully observe the arrangement of the row of switches on the motherboard.
• Also open the case of the new FAAC remote control.
• Adjust the switch arrangements of the new remote according to the pre-installed remote. You will then just need to test it.

Program the New FAAC Remote via the Receiver

• This second method should be used if you do not have a pre-programmed remote or if the first method does not work. You will need to:
• Open the case of the receiver to be linked with the new remote control.
• As in the previous procedure, carefully observe the arrangement of the switches on the motherboard of the receiver.
• Also open the case of your new FAAC remote control.
• Adjust the position of the switches on the motherboard of the new remote according to that of the receiver, and you’re done.

Good to Know

Some models of remote controls may have additional rows of switches. Do not panic. As with the previously mentioned methods, simply arrange these additional switches according to the arrangement of the switches of the pre-programmed remote or that of the receiver of your gate.

It may also happen that the FAAC TM433DS-2 remote control still does not work after applying the two programming methods mentioned above. In that case, you will need to reverse the position of each switch on the new remote compared to those of the pre-programmed remote or those of the receiver.

Risks of Confusion

There is often some confusion between the FAAC 433 DS-2 model and the FAAC TM868DS.2 model. However, these two gate remotes operate on different frequencies, namely 868 MHz for the TM868DS.2 and 433.92 MHz for the FAAC 433 DS-2.

To avoid any confusion, it is advisable to carefully check the reference on the back or inside your remote control.
