Presentation of the Nice IT4WIFI Interface

Do you want maximum comfort for your home? Do you want to control your gate even when you are not nearby? To answer these two questions, the Nice IT4WIFI interface has the solution.

Usable Indoors

Your Nice IT4WIFI interface operates at a voltage of 24 V and has a maximum power consumption of 700 mW. It can be used at maximum temperatures of 50°C and minimum temperatures of -25°C. It is resistant to humidity (between 15% and 85%).

However, be careful not to leave your interface in poorly sheltered places: its IP30 protection rating does not allow for outdoor use, as it will not be protected from external aggressions such as rain, snow, or sunlight. Nevertheless, it is still protected against solid objects larger than 2.5 mm (like tools or screws).

An Interface That Is Smartly Controlled

With this interface, you can always be aware of the status of your gate, keeping an eye on your automation system. This means that if, for example, you can’t remember whether you closed your gate and you are far from home, you can check it directly on your smartphone or your smartwatch. Additionally, this interface has been designed for optimal use on Apple systems!

You can thus control your gate(s) at will with just a few clicks via your home Wi-Fi connection, even from your smartwatch. This interface will also be compatible with Nice Gate&Door automation systems.

Always Stay Up to Date

The Nice IT4WIFI interface will be connected to your Wi-Fi network, allowing it to update all data in real-time regarding the status of your automation. You will have all the latest information about your automation, no matter when you activate it.

Moreover, you will also be able to control it. If your gate is closed and your loved ones need to enter your home, you can directly open and close your gate with the press of a button on your smartphone.

Usage and Compatibility of the NICE IT4WIFI Interface

The Nice IT4WIFI will be compatible with Apple Home Kit, allowing you to control your automation system with various Apple devices including:

• The iPhone
• The iPad
• Your Apple Watch
• An Apple TV
• Your HomePod

The old app is now obsolete; here is the link for the new apps to make the product work. A new application named “MyNice” was released at the beginning of last year, rendering the old one obsolete. The link to the Apple Store is available here. On Google Play, you can click here. Afterward, when your new application is installed, you need to reset the IT4W.

Installation of the Nice IT4WIFI Interface

Note: Before proceeding with the installation, ensure that the location where the IT4WIFI is installed is covered by the Wi-Fi signal of the house.

To install this interface:

1. Turn off the power to the automation control logic.
2. In the IT4WIFI, insert the connector of the supplied cable into the BusT4 socket (use only the supplied cable! Do not use other types of cables).
3. Power the automation control logic.
4. The installation of the IT4WIFI is only correct if the LED L3 is solid green. The LED L2 may remain red for a few seconds and then start blinking green. If this does not happen, turn off the device’s power and restore it after a few seconds.

Initialization Procedure for the NICE IT4WIFI Interface

By ordering your Nice IT4WIFI, you will benefit from a Nice control logic, which includes a BusT4 socket or an IBT4N connector.

To initialize your NICE IT4WIFI, we recommend that you:

• Carefully check the compatibilities with your interface, as they will be necessary for the connection between the interface and your smartphone.
• You will also need a Wi-Fi access point that supports Apple’s “Bonjour” service. This information will be available in the manual of your access point.
• You must also have an iPhone with a recent iOS system (minimum iOS 10) or an Android smartphone with a recent operating system (minimum Android 5).

In your Nice IT4WIFI kit, the Nice IT4WIFI device will be provided with an IBT4N interface and an RJ-11 telephone cord. During the initialization of your interface, you will need to choose the type of technology you wish to connect to your Nice IT4WIFI.

If you have an iPhone, you can use Home Kit and MyNice technologies. However, if you have an Android, only the MyNice technology can be used.
